Start with the label

Always follow the care label on your individual piece. Different fibres, finishes and trims need different treatment.

Linen and cotton

Where the label permits machine washing, use a gentle cycle, cool water and mild detergent. Avoid bleach and high heat. Reshape gently and air-dry; do not tumble dry unless the care label allows it.

Linen softens with wear and carries a natural crease. That texture is part of its character. Heat and unsuitable washing can still change a garment’s fit, even when the fabric has been pre-washed.

Wool and knitwear

Air between wears where possible. Follow the label for washing or professional cleaning, and dry suitable washed knits flat to help retain their shape.

Leather

Keep leather away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. Test any suitable care product on a concealed area first, or ask us for advice.
